Teamwork is essential in closing the gap for our students, wouldn't you say? Yet, somehow, it's often relegated to compliance-driven meetings where forms are completed and boxes are checked and everyone walks away with just as much work to do as when they arrived. Sound familiar? Maybe you're reading this thinking: teams...who has time for that? Possibly, you have a phenomenal team, ample time to collaborate, a supportive environment with someone on hand to make double whip mocha lattes at your whim.

Or any combination of the above scenarios.
Whichever it is, Athena Unified Education has educators' backs.  We are here to provide support to education teams, empowering you to make a real impact in your schools.
No, we are not offering to put one more thing on your plate. In fact, we'd like to take a few things off, replace some of the not-so appetizing (I'm looking at you, soggy fries) items with things that make your mouth water, and even make sure none of your food is touching, if that's how you roll.
Athena Unified Education specializes in implementing Integrated Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (I-MTSS). Now, before you throw your hands up in protest over another new initiative (I-MTSS, I was just getting used to MTSS!), hang on a minute. Let's focus on one sweet word: integrated. Aligning your teams, data collection and analysis, decision rules, interventions, and progress monitoring across several initiatives will actually alleviate superfluous work.
Parallel initiatives are fine, if they are effective and are not draining the life out of our teachers. There's no need to change for the sake of change. However, if all of those parallel initiatives are failing to meet the needs of students while simultaneously creating mountains of extra work for teachers, it might be time to try another approach. Enter Integrated Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. Integrated initiatives make a lot of sense in theory. There is, however, a little work up front to get them going, and that's where we shine! The payoffs are that you will finally be able to see the needle move in achievement. And increase teacher happiness. That too.
